1. Purely Carrot (250 calories for a medium-sized drink)

12 Low-Calorie Jamba Juice Smoothies, Picked By Nutritionist - FeastGood.com (1)

With just one ingredient, the Purely Carrot is already very low in calories, and there are very few modifications that you can make to this drink to reduce the calories even further.

If you want to minimize your calorie intake as much as possible, go for the small serving with 180 calories.

Ingredients

  • Fresh juiced carrot

Calories

  • Small – 180 calories
  • Medium – 250 calories

2. Orange Carrot Twist (280 calories for a medium-sized drink)

12 Low-Calorie Jamba Juice Smoothies, Picked By Nutritionist - FeastGood.com (2)

The Orange Carrot Twist is another low-calorie option with minimal ingredients, making it difficult to change anything and adjust the calorie content. The small option has just 200 calories, while the medium option has 280 calories.

Adding orange juice provides lots of vitamin C, which is essential for a robust immune system, and carrot juice contains high levels of vitamin A, which can promote healthy hair, nails, and skin.

Ingredients

  • Fresh orange juice
  • Fresh juiced carrot

Calories

  • Small – 200 calories
  • Medium – 280 calories

3. Vanilla Blue Sky (280 calories for a medium-sized drink)

12 Low-Calorie Jamba Juice Smoothies, Picked By Nutritionist - FeastGood.com (3)

With a stunning blue color thanks to the spirulina boost, the Vanilla Blue Sky contains a delicious blend of plant-based milk and fruit to provide you with a low-calorie, nutrient-dense smoothie.

To cut the calories in this smoothie even more, ask to swap the vanilla coconut milk for a second serving of almond milk. This will save you around 50 calories per cup.

Although swapping unsweetened almond milk for sweetened coconut milk will decrease the smoothie’s sweetness, the natural sugars in the bananas and pineapples will maintain the sweet flavor of the smoothie.

Ingredients

  • Unsweetened almond milk
  • Vanilla coconut milk
  • Bananas
  • Pineapples
  • Blue spirulina boost

Calories

  • Small – 200 calories
  • Medium – 280 calories

4. Mega Mango (280 calories for a medium-sized drink)

12 Low-Calorie Jamba Juice Smoothies, Picked By Nutritionist - FeastGood.com (4)

The Mega Mango contains a sweet blend of four different fruits. It has under 300 calories and is a great option to keep the calories to a minimum.

To reduce the calories in the Mega Mango, ask for it without either the pineapple or orange juice.

This will remove 111-117 calories per cup of juice. Just be sure that they don’t add an extra portion of the other juice you choose to leave in, which will negate the calorie-decreasing effects of getting the drink without one type of juice.

If you’re concerned about losing some of the nutritional value in the juice, add in the daily vitamin zinc boost, which contains just 15 calories.

Ingredients

  • Pineapple juice
  • Orange juice
  • Mangos
  • Strawberries

Calories

  • Small – 190 calories
  • Medium – 280 calories

5. Greens ‘n’ Ginger (290 calories for a medium-sized drink)

12 Low-Calorie Jamba Juice Smoothies, Picked By Nutritionist - FeastGood.com (5)

The Greens ‘n’ Ginger is perfect for health-conscious people. It’s full of flavor and nutrition and contains just 290 calories. Ginger is known to reduce inflammation, improve insulin sensitivity, and improve digestion.

If you want to lower the calories in the Greens ‘n’ Ginger, ask to swap the lemonade for water. Lemonade contains 96 calories and around 25 grams of sugar per cup, so you could save many calories by asking for this simple swap.

If you enjoy carbonated drinks like lemonade, ask for soda water so you still get the fizziness in your smoothie.

Ingredients

  • Lemonade
  • Peaches
  • Kale
  • Mangos
  • Ginger

Calories

  • Small – 230 calories
  • Medium – 290 calories

6. Strawberry Whirl (290 calories for a medium-sized drink)

12 Low-Calorie Jamba Juice Smoothies, Picked By Nutritionist - FeastGood.com (6)

The Strawberry Whirl is a fruity, sweet smoothie that is relatively low in calories compared to many other Jamba Juice smoothies.

But if you want to save as many calories as possible, I recommend switching the strawberry juice blend out for another serving of natural, whole strawberries. This will save you around 100 calories per serving.

Ingredients

  • Apple
  • Pear
  • Strawberry juice blend
  • Strawberries
  • Bananas

Calories

  • Small – 200 calories
  • Medium – 290 calories

7. The Go Getter (310 calories for a medium-sized drink)

12 Low-Calorie Jamba Juice Smoothies, Picked By Nutritionist - FeastGood.com (7)

The Go Getter is packed full of nutrition. The matcha and added caffeine provide an energy boost, while the fruits and vegetables contain a range of micronutrients, such as vitamin A and vitamin K.

Swap the vegetables and fruit juice blend for another serving of fresh kale to cut the calories with the Go Getter.

Each serving of kale contains just 5 calories, so you can save around 100 calories by making the switch.

Ingredients

  • Matcha green tea
  • Vegetables and fruit juice blend
  • Mangos
  • Kale
  • Orange juice
  • Caffeine 175mg (small), 210mg (medium), 281mg (large)

Calories

  • Small – 260 calories
  • Medium – 310 calories

8. Orange-C Booster (310 calories for a medium-sized drink)

12 Low-Calorie Jamba Juice Smoothies, Picked By Nutritionist - FeastGood.com (8)

The Orange-C Booster does precisely what it says. It boosts your vitamin C levels because it contains a range of fruits that are high in this particular nutrient, which is vital for collagen protein production in the body.

To reduce the calories in this smoothie, ask to swap the banana for fresh strawberries. This will save around 20 calories per serving without compromising the nutritional content of the drink.

Ingredients

  • Orange juice
  • Orange sherbet
  • Peaches
  • Bananas
  • Daily vitamin + zinc boost

Calories

  • Small – 230 calories
  • Medium – 310 calories

9. Peach Perfection (310 calories for a medium-sized drink)

12 Low-Calorie Jamba Juice Smoothies, Picked By Nutritionist - FeastGood.com (9)

If you enjoy peach flavors but are on a weight loss journey, you can order the Peach Perfection at Jamba Juice.

Ordering it without the strawberry juice blend will save around 140-150 calories per serving, but you will still get the deliciously sweet peach flavor.

Ingredients

  • White grape/pear/peach juice blend
  • Mangos
  • Peaches
  • Apple
  • Strawberry juice blend
  • Strawberries

Calories

  • Small – 200 calories
  • Medium – 310 calories

10. Apple ‘n’ Greens (320 calories for a medium-sized drink)

12 Low-Calorie Jamba Juice Smoothies, Picked By Nutritionist - FeastGood.com (10)

If you’re looking to lower the calories in the Apples ‘n’ Greens smoothie, ask for a split cup. This means your smoothie will come in two half servings. Share the smoothie with your partner or friend so you only consume half of the total calories.

Ingredients

  • Apple/pear/strawberry juice blend
  • Kale
  • Mangos
  • Bananas
  • Peaches

Calories

  • Small – 250 calories
  • Medium – 320 calories

11. Strawberries Wild (320 calories for a medium-sized drink)

12 Low-Calorie Jamba Juice Smoothies, Picked By Nutritionist - FeastGood.com (11)

For those who love strawberry-flavored smoothies but want to keep the calories below 200, go for the kids’ version of the Strawberry Wild called Strawberries Gone Bananas.

Compared to the higher calories in the adult version, the kids’ version contains just 150 calories but still has the same delicious blend of strawberries and bananas.

Ingredients

  • Apple pear strawberry juice blend
  • Fat free vanilla frozen yogurt
  • Strawberries
  • Bananas

Calories

  • Small – 230 calories
  • Medium – 320 calories

12. Strawberry Surf Rider (330 calories for a medium-sized drink)

12 Low-Calorie Jamba Juice Smoothies, Picked By Nutritionist - FeastGood.com (12)

If the sound of the Strawberry Surf Rider gets your taste buds going, but you’re not keen on consuming up to 430 calories in your smoothie, there’s an easy swap that you can make.

Switch the lemonade lime sherbet for soda or sparkling water and a slice of lime and lemon.

This simple swap will save you 110 calories and 21 grams of sugar per cup, but you will still get the fizzy, citrus flavor in your drink.

Ingredients

  • Lemonade lime sherbet
  • Strawberries
  • Peaches

Calories

  • Small – 240 calories
  • Medium – 330 calories

Tips For Ordering Low-Calorie Smoothies At Jamba Juice

12 Low-Calorie Jamba Juice Smoothies, Picked By Nutritionist - FeastGood.com (13)

Some additional ways to lower the calories in your Jamba Juice smoothie are:

Order a Kids’ Drink

Two kids’ smoothies are available at Jamba Juice, both of which are the lowest calorie options on the whole menu.

You can choose from the Blueberry Strawberry Blast-Off and the Strawberries Gone Bananas, which contain 190 and 150 calories, respectively.

Swap the Whey Protein or Pea Protein for Soy Protein

Whey protein is available as one of the ‘Vitamin and Protein Boosts’ and contains 70 calories.

There is still some benefit to adding whey protein to your smoothie if you’re trying to keep your protein intake high.

But if you want to increase the protein content of your smoothie while saving calories, opt for the soy protein add-in instead, which only has 25 calories. This will save you 45 calories per serving of protein.

Although whey protein and soy protein contain slightly different amino acid compositions, research shows they are equally effective at increasing lean muscle mass and strength in those who regularly perform resistance training.

Research also shows that pea or soy protein is as effective at muscle growth and strength building as whey protein isolate.

Therefore, pea protein is an excellent alternative to whey protein in your smoothie if you aren’t keen on soy. However, this will only save you 10 calories per serving.

Ask for Half a Portion of Peanut Butter or Swap It for Non-Fat Greek Yogurt

Peanut butter is in a few Jamba Juice smoothies, such as the PB Chocolate Love and the Peanut Butter Moo’d. With 100 calories per tablespoon, the calories can quickly rack up in your drink when peanut butter is added.

If you want to include peanut butter in your drink, ask for half a portion so that you only add 50 extra calories to your smoothie.

Alternatively, you can swap the peanut butter for non-fat Greek yogurt, which only has 40 calories per serving. This will cut the calories while providing you with a source of protein.

Swap the Juice Blends for Water or Soda Water

The Juice Blends at Jamba Juice contain around 120 calories per serving. Not all drinks have them, but I’ve listed the ones that do in the FAQ section below. To save calories in your smoothies, you can swap them for water or soda water.

If you want to retain some of the flavors from the Juice Blend, you could ask for an extra portion of fruit in your smoothie, saving you around 100 calories per drink. I provide the calorie count of the fruit add-ons below.

You can also ask for just a half serving of the Juice Blend and replace the other half with water to cut the calorie count in half.

Avoid the Premium Boosts

The Premium Boosts include the Orange Boba, Strawberry Boba, and Tapioca Boba which contain 210 calories each.

If you want to save calories while adding extra nutrition and flavor to your Jamba Juice smoothie, go for the frozen fruit and veg options instead of the premium boosts.

I’ve listed the calorie content of each fruit and veg add-in per drink (regardless of size) available at Jamba Juice below.

Frozen Fruit or VegCalorie Content
Kale5
Strawberries10
Peaches15
Pineapples15
Mangos20
Blueberries20

Drinks To AVOID At Jamba Juice

The drinks to avoid at Jamba Juice when you’re trying to cut your calorie intake are:

Peanut Butter Moo’d (730 calories for a medium-sized drink)

12 Low-Calorie Jamba Juice Smoothies, Picked By Nutritionist - FeastGood.com (14)

With up to 940 calories per serving, the Peanut Butter Moo’d is the highest calorie drink on the Jamba Juice menu. It’s one to avoid if you’re trying to reduce your calorie intake.

If you really want to try the Peanut Butter Moo’d, I’d suggest going for the small serving, which has less than half of the calories as the large serving.

Ingredients

  • Fat-free vanilla frozen yogurt
  • Vanilla soymilk
  • 2% milk
  • Bananas
  • Peanut butter
  • Chocolate moo’d dairy base

Calories

  • Small – 450 calories
  • Medium – 730 calories
  • Large – 940 calories

PB Chocolate Love (670 calories for a medium-sized drink)

12 Low-Calorie Jamba Juice Smoothies, Picked By Nutritionist - FeastGood.com (15)

The PB Chocolate Love might sound tempting for the peanut butter lovers out there. But this is not the most suitable option if you’re looking for something low-calorie at Jamba Juice.

It contains between 430 and 820 calories, making it the second-highest calorie option on the menu.

Ingredients

  • 2% milk
  • Bananas
  • Chocolate moo’d dairy base
  • Peanut butter

Calories

  • Small – 430 calories
  • Medium – 670 calories
  • Large – 820 calories

Pumpkin Smash (Plant-Based) (600 calories)

12 Low-Calorie Jamba Juice Smoothies, Picked By Nutritionist - FeastGood.com (16)

The Pumpkin Smash (Plant-Based) may not be the highest calorie option on the Jamba Juice menu, but it’s still one to be avoided if you’re on a weight loss journey.

With 370 to 780 calories and 41 to 84 grams of sugar, there are plenty of lower-calorie options for you to enjoy. If you love pumpkin flavors, but you’re watching your calories, try the Pumpkin Smash Classic, which has between 290 and 570 calories.

Ingredients

  • Oatmilk pumpkin spice blend
  • Oatmilk frozen dessert

Calories

  • Small – 370 calories
  • Medium – 600 calories
  • Large – 780 calories
