Today is the 80 year anniversary of D-Day.As a proud Canadian, I grew up with the stories of the boys who went to war, and also the family stories of what it was like for my grandparents who lived through the war in the Netherlands.I am so grateful for the sacrifice these men, their families made. And grateful for the freedom that we all may experience now.May we all remember and share this forward in new generations looking for peaceful solutions.

Ever felt like youā€™re walking on eggshells with your team? I did, until I found a solution.A few years ago, while managing a team, I struggled to be clear and effective. No matter how much data I presented, I couldn't connect with my team. Being overly directive led to resistance, cut-off communication, and perceptions of aggressiveness. The frustration was immenseā€”I wanted to empower my team, but felt stuck. The turning point came when I realized my approach was closing off my team and affecting our work quality. Thatā€™s when I discovered the 'Boardroom Whisper' technique and the power of 'I' statements. By shifting the focus to my perspective, I could express my ideas without triggering defensiveness. For example, instead of saying, "You need to do this," I started saying, "I propose we focus on customer retention for long-term success" made a significant difference. The transformation was immediate. My team started responding positively, deadlines were met, and the quality of our work improved. Inspired by this change, I created the Boardroom Whisper Checklist to help other women leaders achieve similar results.Ana went from being stuck in endless discussion and criticism to her teams being onboard with decisions, proactively taking action to execute her vision and strategy. If youā€™re ready to balance assertiveness and respect in your leadership, comment 'BOARDROOM' below, and Iā€™ll send you the checklist for free. Donā€™t let the fear of being too aggressive hold you back. Start transforming your leadership experiences today.Comment 'BOARDROOM' to get the checklist and start building that empowered and high performing team!

Are you a woman in leadership struggling to be heard and valued by the men in the room? You may be experiencing one or more of the following:šŸ¤¦ā™€ļøFeeling your voice is silenced in meetings, with your ideas dismissed or attributed to others. šŸ¤¦ā™€ļøyou face frequent criticism of your ideas, decisions and find yourself excluded from key meetings or discussions that pertain to your area of responsibility,šŸ¤¦ā™€ļøYou're the ā€˜note-takerā€™ or ā€˜party-planner being assigned tasks that are less critical or impactful, while your male colleagues are given opportunities to lead on major projects. And if you've experience one of more of the issues above, then I'm will to bet you're making one of more of the following mistakes:āŒ Constantly downplaying your accomplishments to fit in, minimizing the impact of your expertise. āŒ Lacking a strong network of female mentors who understand the challenges you face and can offer guidance and support.āŒ Communicating your ideas in a hesitant or apologetic way (using ā€˜I thinkā€™, ā€˜Correct me if Iā€™m wrongā€™ showing lacking conviction in your expertise.āŒ Avoiding high-profile projects or opportunities that could showcase your leadership potential. And to fix it, you're likely doing one of the following: šŸ™‹ā™€ļøYou asked colleagues and managers for feedback, but now you're not sure what actions to take because of conflicting advicešŸ™‹ā™€ļøSpeaking up on every topic to prove your value, even when you might not have something significant to add coming off as trying too hard, or speaking just for the sake of it, which can diminish your credibility even more.Ready to discover how YOU can command respect, have your voice heard, and achieve success on your terms? Saturday was a day, celebrating friendship and the amazing impact that we as a community with Ladies' Circle Nederland have made! For me personally, I love being part of a community of highly motivated and truly generous women, where each of us brings our talents and look to find ways to make both our own local communities and national communities better. Through out time, commitment and fundraising. So during our annual members meeting, along with meeting ladies who quickly become dear friends, we also got to see the final tallies for the amount we fundraised together.Over ā‚¬500,000 money raised by all the circles which go into different initiatives locally. And together we also raise over ā‚¬240,000 for Huntington, which now will help fund research and also the families of those who are affected by Huntington. This is making an impact. This is community. This is the power of working together and making a difference! So proud to be part of this organization, together with my dear ladies in Ladiesā€™ Circle 66 Son en Breugel!
