Olympic golf leaderboard: Results, tee times for Round 1 at Golf National in Paris (2024)

Thursday marked the first day of competition of golf at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Over the next four days, the world's best golfers will square off at Le Golf National in Guyancourt, Francein pursuit of a gold medal for their respective country. Reigning gold medalist from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics Xander Schauffele headlines Team USA with World No. 1 golfer Scottie Scheffler.

After the first 18 holes at Le Golf National, Japan's Hideki Matsuyama leads the 60-player field with a score of 8 under par. The 32-year-old golfer finished with a total score of 63 on the day

Schauffele leads all four members of Team USA in second place at 6-under par, thanks to a strong front nine where he shot 5-under par thanks to five birdies. Scheffler follows Schauffele among Americans, and is tied for sixth at 4 under par. Collin Morikawa is tied for 29th at 1 under par. Elsewhere, Wyndham Clark finished Round 1 tied for 56th after shooting 4 over for the round.

Who is competing for Team USA at Paris Olympics?

Team USA's roster for the Paris Olympics will be made up of Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele, Collin Morikawa and Wyndham Clark.

Schauffele won gold at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics for the United States, where he beat Slovakia's Rory Sabbatini by one stroke at 18 under par. The 2024 Paris Olympics mark the Olympic debuts for Scheffler and Clark.
