Shoutout to Patrick Beith and Athletes Acceleration for a successful first day of the Speed and Power Summit. Thank you to Hunter Eisenhower for providing us with knowledge about the elastic driven vs muscular driven athletes’ superpowers & kryptonites. The importance of standarized cueing when performing testing and the frequency that testing should be done at, rather certain timelines (week 1 vs week 8 numbers). Tom Gormely PT,DPT,OCS,CSCS showed his passion for working with rotational athletes and gave us great advice on ExRx translating to on-field performance. Ted Rath closed day 1 out with fantastic leadership motivation tips that left us all fired up to face adversity. Some of his quotes: “Zoom out, turn a problem into an opportunity.” “Don’t fear failure, attack success.” “You don’t fail, you learn, and you grow through it.”Can’t wait for Day 2 tomorrow with John O’neill, Ryan Grubbs, and Alex Natera P.S.: If you didn’t register for this year, have it on your “must attend” bucket list for next year. I ran across this Summit on instagram (@athletesacceleration) last week and it has been great so far.

Thankful for being part of and playing a big role in the FIRST EVER Puerto Rico Sports Performance Summitt. Next step: I’ve been accepted into NovaCare Rehabilitation Philadelphia Sports Residency Program🙏🏻. I’m very excited to be their 5th resident 🔥. I’ll be working with Temple athletics, Philadelphia 76ers, Flyers, and Phillies. Very thankful for Carley McQuain PT, DPT , Tommy Hockenjos PT, DPT, PES , and Carmen Sclafani, PT, DPT, CSCS for making this a smooth transition. I will also be working with and learning from great mentors Patrick Smith PT, DPT, SCS, OCS, FAAOMPT Terrence McHugh,DPT, SCS, ATC Joel Roth, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS Lisa McGrath, Justin Lavo, and many others. Truly a dream come true🤞🏻Bringing Puerto Rican sazón to the City of Brotherly Love🇵🇷🔥. Thank you to everybody else that has helped me throughout the process🤝

Victor Lugo Merle, PT, DPT🙏🏻🇵🇷🐊🔥10 years of sacrifice. Moved from Puerto Rico to the United States in 2014. Had the dream and the vision of becoming a Sports Medicine Doctor. Today, I can proudly say that I am Doctor of Physical Therapy🙌🏻Thank you to GOD and my parents for making this possible. It took a lot of faith, discipline, hard work, perseverance, resilience, passion, patience, and grit. This is just the beginning, not done yet😤.
